Artificial Disc Replacement
For patients with cervical disc herniation or degeneration, Dr. Jatana offers Mobi-C® artificial disc replacement as an option to preserve motion in the neck compared to traditional cervical fusion.
The advantages of the Mobi-C® device over traditional cervical fusion is that the artificial disc maintains normal motion and reduces the stress placed on the other discs in the neck. The goal with motion preservation is to retain the normal rotation of the neck and lessen the need for any future surgery at other levels in the neck.

Colorado Spine Partners is the only spine center in the State of Colorado to be included in Spine Center Network, the only national listing of credentialed spine centers. To be included, a spine center must meet credentialing criteria that relates to having a multi-disciplinary team of affiliated nonsurgical spine MDs, fellowship-trained spine specialized surgeons and spine therapists. The spine team emphasizes nonsurgical treatment options; minimally invasive spine surgery; motion preservation surgery via artificial disc replacement, patient education; and home remedies for back and neck pain.
